If you are reading this, chances are Memoirji has already listened to you, or to someone you love. So you already know what this project does.

Let me tell you what you cannot see from the chat window. A year ago I left my well-paid AI consulting jobs, just to build this. I write the code, do the research, answer the support emails, and keep the servers running, alone, on my own savings. I canceled my rental lease and moved back into my parents' place so that every dollar I have goes into keeping Memoirji alive. I am not telling you this to complain. I chose it, and I would choose it again.

I have also knocked on many doors, because a project like this should have partners. I have written to charities, institutions, and large organizations that serve you. Most never reply. Some send a polite no. One well-known organization in the States told us we were not big enough yet. The people they serve, families living with memory loss and Alzheimer's, are exactly the people this kind of gentle remembering helps most. We were not asking them for money. We were asking them to let us help. Doors like that close because of size, not because of what the work is worth.

Now, this is the part of the letter where projects usually ask for a donation. I will not. You are the people whose stories we exist for, and we want this to stay nearly free, and always affordable, for every person who has a story to tell. We are on the same side of this. What I ask instead costs nothing:

If you happen to know someone with a long reach, someone who runs a company, a foundation, a newsroom, a community, do not send them a pitch. Just tell them to try Memoirji, or to give it to their parents. If this product touched your heart, let it touch theirs the same way. That is worth more than any business plan I could write.

And if you do not know any big shots, most of us do not, then tell your friends and family about this project, in your own words. Every person who joins because of you helps another person somewhere get their first memoir for free.

The hardest part of this journey has never been the money, or the code. It is reach. The people who use Memoirji love it; there are simply not enough who know it exists yet. Every kind message from a user tells me I am doing the right thing. If you think so too, now you know exactly how to help.
