Why is my song not in Kashikan?
Kashikan only shows songs we can identify as Japanese AND can find matching synced lyrics for (via LRCLIB). If a song is too obscure or has no lyric source, it won't appear. Try the Re-sync button in Settings after adding new songs to Apple Music.
Why do I see only one card per song?
Free Kashikan shows 5 randomly-picked songs from your library with 1 study card each. Premium unlocks every matched song in your library, every line per song.
What does "Re-sync" do?
Re-sync re-scans your Apple Music library so songs you've recently added show up. It's a Premium feature.
What's the kana table?
Tap the small grid icon in the bottom-right of any study card to open a hiragana / katakana reference. Both scripts shown side-by-side for the same sound. Useful for double-checking a character you don't recognize.
My cards stopped advancing with the music.
Toggle "Auto-navigate cards" in Settings → Audio Playback (default on). You can also tap the magnet button on the player to turn it on per-song. If a song has no synced timestamps, cards stay static.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Kashikan → Cancel. The subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period. You can also reach this from inside the app via Settings → Manage Subscription.
How do I restore a previous purchase on a new device?
Sign in with Apple on the new device, open Settings, tap "Restore Purchases". Premium status is tied to your Apple ID.
Where can I read the privacy policy / terms?
If you're not sure you're on the latest version, update via the App Store.
